Your Responsibilities

• Carrying out thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
• Identifying and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses, either collaboratively with physicians or independently (based on your credentials)
• Providing education to patients and families on prevention, wellness, and managing health conditions

What You'll Need

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in New York
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within three months)
