Technical Director

Provide strategic leadership and hands-on oversight for all production and technical environments across Brookside’s campuses. This role oversees audio, video, lighting and broadcast systems while leading staff and volunteer teams to deliver consistent, high-quality worship experiences. The technical director balances technical excellence, leadership development, and spiritual maturity in a fast paced multi-site ministry environment. STATUS - Full time 40-45hrs/week REPORTS TO - Worship Director DIRECT REPORTS - Production Assistant, 4D Interns ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Spiritual Oversight A follower of Jesus Christ who sees tech and production as ministry not performance Lead a team of production staff and difference makers providing pastoral care, prayer, encouragement and leadership Able to build into a culture of excellence, humility, teamwork and joy within production teams Collaborate closely with the worship director to support and advance the creative team’s vision Team Building & Development Recruit, onboard, train, schedule and empower volunteer production teams across all campuses Develop volunteers within production teams, creating clear pathways for growth and ownership Create documentation, system diagrams and training resources that support long-term sustainability Live Production & Technical Oversight Understand, maintain and update all production systems Oversee all live production for weekend services, events and groups across campuses Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Skills & Attributes Understanding and experience with ProPresenter, Companion and Resi Working knowledge of video systems: Plus if it is Blackmagic Design, Novastar and Canon Ability to program lighting, understanding DMX, Timecode and Midi protocols Comprehension of Live Audio and systems like Dante, Waves and ProTools About this Church Brookside is a multisite church in the Omaha Metro area with a mission to help people Find and Follow Jesus.
