Medical Surgical/Oncology Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position with night shifts available for 3x12-hour rotations (7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.), including weekdays and every other weekend.

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical/Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team. This nursing role is focused on providing care for adult patients battling cancer, including medical and surgical care, palliative care, and family education about oncological processes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care to medical and surgical oncology patients.
• Provide education and support to patients and families on cancer processes.
• Monitor patient health and conduct regular assessments.
• Assist with chemotherapy administration and other related procedures.
• Manage telemetry patients, including central line draws, blood administration, PCA pumps, and more.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with oncology experience preferred.
• Current RN license valid in West Virginia or a Compact RN License.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Experience with telemetry care and chemotherapy administration is a plus.
