Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Travel assignment beginning 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $2,093 to $2,226, with 48 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 12 hours. This is a fast-paced, high-volume ED environment requiring versatile, patient-centered care across a 24/7 operation. The role includes rotating shifts and occasional floating to Psych ED and Pedi ED areas (care for patients age 15+ when pediatrics experience is limited).

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a high-volume ED, including triage, monitoring, and treatment of acute conditions
- Read, interpret, and respond to telemetry rhythm strips; identify rhythm abnormalities and heart blocks
- Administer medications, start IVs, assist with procedures, and manage patient safety throughout the continuum of care
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team; document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
- Monitor patient status, anticipate deterioration, provide pain management, and educate patients and families
- Float to Psych ED and Pedi ED areas as needed, caring for patients 15 years and older ( pedi experience considered; adapt as required)

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Massachusetts
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS (active/unexpired)
- Minimum 1.5 years recent Level I or II ED experience or 2+ years recent Level 3/4 ED experience
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips; pass Telemetry Test on Day 1 (85%+)
- Flexible 12-hour shift schedule with rotation (e.g., 7 am–7 pm, 11 am–11 pm, or 3 pm–3 am); willingness to float to Psych ED and Pedi ED areas
- Preferred: EPIC EMR experience; prior travel experience; critical care exposure
