Details Post-Surgical unit (3 West) within a hospital setting, 34 beds Patient population includes post-op general surgery and bariatric surgery patients, plus overflow medical patients Patient ratio of 1:5 Uses Pyxis medication dispensing system and Epic EMR 3x12 rotating day/night shifts (0700-1930 or 1900-0730), 36 hours guaranteed weekly Works every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays No call requirements Floating to similar med surg units based on rotation and needs Requirements Active IN or compact RN license required BLS certification required Minimum 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg or Post-Surgical experience required Epic EMR experience required Experience with surgical drains required Strong teamwork, flexibility, and time management skills required Additional Information Provide nursing care to post-operative general surgery and bariatric surgery patients Education modules assigned upon hire must be completed before reporting to the floor Navy blue scrubs required Report to Main Entrance/Door 12, 3rd floor Post-Surgical Unit, parking in yellow spaces Strong patient advocacy and an easygoing, flexible personality are valued traits for this role Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a reduced bill rate American Traveler Job ID P-772382.
