Automation Controls Specialist

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring an Automation Technician to support a highly automated baking or distribution facility. What You Will Be Doing Provide automation controls support in a fast‑paced environment. Work with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMI/OITs and related control systems. Analyze plant metrics/KPIs and equipment data to identify improvement opportunities. Lead a small team to develop engineered solutions. Provide electrical troubleshooting and industrial controls support to the maintenance department. What We Will Need From You Leadership or training experience with one or two automation technicians. Strong teamwork orientation and commitment to General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices. English reading, writing, and communication skills for following safety instructions. Physical ability to navigate multi‑level plant stairways and reach job assignments. Exposure to machinery hazards in an operational baking environment. Not a relief/fill‑in supervisor position. Education and Work Experience EE Degree or equivalent. Three or more years of experience in the automation field. Strong experience with Rockwell Controls Software. Proficiency in AutoCAD (preferred) and Microsoft Office. Strong overall electrical knowledge and industrial control systems experience. Excellent communication skills and effective team‑building abilities. Experience in a food processing plant is a plus.
