CDL/Class A Scrap Driver Needed – Paid Weekly, Hours, OT, Bonus & Safe

Help make a difference! Lakin Tire a Liberty Tire Company is North America's largest tire recycler. Lakin Tire is now hiring a Full-Time CDL Class A driver to run daily collection routes. We collect and recycle more than 190 million tires into raw materials for smart, useful products that improve people’s lives.

Job Description :

Lakin Tire is seeking a qualified CDL/Class A Scrap Driver who delivers trailers with loads of whole and shredded tires to landfills or dumpsite locations daily. Our drivers are safe and offer world-class service. Included in this position will be the responsibility to complete all DOT required paperwork and company paperwork at each collection site.

Hourly Pay :

• Starting at $27.75 / hour

Schedule :

• Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday, and Holiday work.
• Shifts range from 8-12 hours a day.
• 40 hours per week, overtime is required.
• Start times vary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drives PTO truck with a capacity of up to 80,000 pounds.
• Maintains radio or telephone contact with supervisor to receive instructions and be dispatched to a new location.
• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Keeps record of trailers delivered and picked up.
• Operates equipment to load and unload materials.
• Obtain customer signatures at each location.
• Complete necessary paperwork and submit it to Lakin transportation clerk.
• Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure truck and trailer are in working order.
• Walking, standing, and occasional climbing and/or bending.
• Must be self-motivated, have attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
• Lifting and carrying hydraulic hose (from 1 to 30 pounds).
• Touch Freight as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Experience

• Must meet all FMCSA driver qualification requirements.
  
• MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.
• CDL Drivers must be at a minimum of 22 years of age.
• Must have at minimum 1 year of Class A driving experience.
• Drivers must have a valid Class A Driver’s License.
• Clean DMV record (less than 3 points, no moving violations or accidents in the past 5 years, no DUI/DWIs in the past 5 years).
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must have a common working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Doubles endorsements are a plus.
• If requested must be flexible with work schedule.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
