Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - per diem Join our dynamic care team at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield, an award-winning facility! Up to $40 an hour with weekly pay. Berkshire Rehab is a 57-bed, all-male skilled nursing facility with a large veteran population. Overview We are seeking a per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in assisting with the provision of occupational therapy services, including collection of assessment data, direct treatment, and program development. Responsibilities Assist with direct patient treatments in accordance with a physician's order and established plan of care Participate in team meetings and decision-making processes Consult with patients, residents, and caregivers Monitor efficiencies and document activities in a timely manner Demonstrate consistent knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations Participate in clinical program development and implementation Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor Requirements Associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited program CEUs per state licensure requirements Current licensure by the applicable state agency, or be in the process of obtaining one Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and interact with all levels of staff and customers Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to stand and walk for significant amounts of time Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care Ability to cope with periodic stress and prioritize tasks effectively Benefits Weekly Pay Holiday & Overtime Pay Career Advancement Opportunities Exclusive Employer Discount Program 401(k) with Employer Match Available for Full-Time Staff Employer-Paid Life Insurance Vacation and Personal Time Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
