What role you will play in our team Exxon Mobil Corporation ("ExxonMobil") is seeking to hire transactional attorneys for its legal team in Houston, Texas. These attorneys will work with a team of experienced lawyers to support our Central Organization division on a wide variety of transactional and commercial matters, including but not limited to, the negotiation, drafting and implementation of agreements supporting a wide variety of transactions and operations (e.g., acquisition, joint venture, operating, and divestiture agreements) and goods and services contracts (such as EPC, drilling, and various equipment and materials purchase contracts). The attorneys will work closely with assigned business line partners, often on a daily basis, with oversight from more experienced attorneys where required. What you will do

What role you will play in our team Exxon Mobil Corporation ("ExxonMobil") is seeking to hire transactional attorneys for its legal team in Houston, Texas. The attorneys will work closely with assigned business line partners, often on a daily basis, with oversight from more experienced attorneys where required. What you will do
- Provide day-to-day legal support for ExxonMobil business units, developing relationships with key business leaders to drive positive business results
- Support and lead a wide range of commercial transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, divestments, and other strategic transactions
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including M&A, joint venture and partnership agreements; customer and supplier agreements; EPC, project financing, and other project-related agreements; and goods and services contracts
- Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues, providing legal analysis and counsel to business leaders that anticipates and helps mitigate legal risks
- Work closely with other teams within the ExxonMobil Law Department and other ExxonMobil functional groups (e.g., tax, regulatory, and finance functions)
- Interface with outside counsel where required on significant transactions and disputes
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in at least one state (Texas bar membership strongly preferred)
- Strong research and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High ethical standards and integrity
- Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise sound business judgment
- Ability and desire to work independently and as a member of an integrated team
- Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally in support of client transactions
- At least one year of transactional experience
- Experience in Intellectual Property is a plus
- Pension Plan: Enrollment is automatic and at no cost to you. The basic benefit is a monthly annuity to be paid to you in retirement for the rest of your life
