Billing and Project Manager (Govcon)

Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr Billings and Projects Manager A company in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced Billings and Projects Manager to join their Finance team. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of billing for federal government contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Deltek Costpoint , federal contract billing, and contract setup across multiple contract types. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end billing for federal government contracts Set up and maintain contracts accurately in Deltek Costpoint Prepare and generate invoices in compliance with contract terms and federal regulations Ensure billing aligns with fixed price, cost-plus, and time & materials contract requirements Collaborate with project managers, accounting staff, and leadership to resolve billing issues Maintain complete and compliant billing documentation and records Support internal and external audits, including year-end audits Process cash receipts and assist with related reconciliations Stay current on federal billing regulations and compliance requirements Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience billing federal government contracts Strong proficiency in Deltek Costpoint (required) Demonstrated experience with contract setup and management in Costpoint Experience with fixed price, cost-plus, and time & materials contracts Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a senior or lead billing role Experience supporting federal audits Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Staffing and Recruiting Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) #J-18808-Ljbffr
