Dental Receptionist

The Dental Receptionist is responsible for providing front-office support in a busy dental practice. This individual serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in delivering a positive patient experience by managing scheduling, communications, and administrative support for the dental team.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner.
• Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule dental appointments as needed.
• Manage high-volume phone calls while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Enter and update patient information accurately in the electronic scheduling system.
• Coordinate daily schedules to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with office policies and procedures.
• Support dental office operations and assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience with prior authorizations.
• Proficiency in healthcare electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Front desk management and clerical skills.
• Experience in healthcare and medical environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist.
• High School Diploma required.

Work Environment

The dental practice operates with flexible hours, requiring a commitment to a 40-hour workweek, with availability to work some Sundays. The practice is open from Sunday 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 7 PM, and Friday 8 AM to 4 PM. The work environment offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy healthcare organization.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Valley, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
