Pediatric Registered Nurse with NICU Experience

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shifts: 3x12 hours (Days: 07:00 - 19:30; Nights: 19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse with a background in NICU to provide high-quality care to infants and children in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to manage various pediatric conditions and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients, including neonates.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Perform essential procedures such as blood transfusions, central line management, and respiratory support.
• Educate parents and families on care protocols and health management.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Float to the Baltimore sister campus as required and meet unit needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or Compact License.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience, specifically in NICU.
• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Ability to manage complex patient needs including feeding issues, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and cardiac defects.
