Labor and Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Support patient comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess maternal and fetal health status consistently throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications, including conscious sedation, as prescribed.
• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures accurately and safely.
• Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and clinical observations.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care instructions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of Maternal and Child health experience.
• Two years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience.
• Two years of conscious sedation experience.
• Current New York State RN license with primary source verification.
• Hold AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Associate Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
