Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement personalized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to help patients restore mobility and independence.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, adapting approaches to meet each individual's needs.
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate updates with the care team.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
• Collaborate with a supportive rehab team to deliver compassionate care in a 130-bed skilled nursing facility.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Maryland
• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings is a plus, but new grads are welcome to apply!

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, gait training, and transfer techniques
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with patients and families
• Teamwork and adaptability in a dynamic rehab environment
