ServiceMaster by Singer is hiring a Field Operations Manager to help lead, organize, and strengthen our field teams across the Mid-Atlantic.

This is not a desk job and not a “super technician” role.

We are looking for a true field leader — someone who can bring structure, planning, accountability, and teamwork into fast-moving, unpredictable environments.

The goal is simple:
reduce chaos, improve organization, and help teams perform at a higher level with less daily frustration.

This role is different: you will help shape how field operations improve — not just manage what already exists.

What You’ll Do

You will help the field operate as a connected, organized team by:

Driving Clarity and Planning

• Turn scope into clear, realistic daily work plans
• Help crews start the day with direction instead of uncertainty
• Reinforce pre-job huddles and assignment clarity

Improving How Teams Work Together

• Keep PMs, crew chiefs, and technicians aligned
• Improve communication across the field and leadership
• Reduce miscommunication, delays, and last-minute changes

Making Jobs Run Smoother

• Improve jobsite organization and workflow
• Reduce rework, wasted movement, and recurring issues
• Strengthen documentation in a way that supports the job

Coaching and Developing People

• Coach employees toward stronger performance and consistency
• Help team members understand expectations and growth paths
• Support development of future crew chiefs and leaders

The goal is not to add process — it is to remove friction.

Backgrounds That Fit Well

Strong candidates often come from:

• Service-based field operations

Restoration experience is helpful, but not required.

Experience alone does not qualify someone for this role — we are looking for leadership, organization, communication, accountability, and the ability to improve execution.

Responsibilities

• Support PMs, crew chiefs, and technicians in daily execution
• Translate scope into structured, workable plans
• Reinforce planning, communication, and follow-through
• Improve documentation and consistency in the field
• Identify workflow breakdowns and recurring issues
• Coach employees on performance, teamwork, and organization
• Support a strong, customer-focused operation
• Help develop future leaders within the department

Requirements

• Experience leading field teams, crews, or operations personnel
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to organize work in changing environments
• Ability to coach and guide people professionally
• Comfortable in field environments (construction, restoration, production, or similar)
• Valid driver’s license
• Comfortable using mobile apps, job documentation, and communication tools
• Willing to learn and understand the restoration industry
