Internal Cloud PaaS (TAS) EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking an Internal Cloud PaaS (TAS) Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week required) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role is responsible for the design, build, and ongoing engineering of an Internal Cloud Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability based on VMware Tanzu Application Server (TAS). The engineer will ensure the platform meets enterprise requirements for availability, scalability, and security, while enabling application teams to deploy and operate applications without managing the underlying infrastructure. This position owns the TAS platform architecture, configuration standards, and engineering patterns.Responsibilities:Design, build, and provide ongoing engineering for the Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability based on VMware Tanzu Application Server (TAS)Ensure the TAS platform meets enterprise requirements for availability, scalability, security, and developer experienceOwn the TAS platform architecture, configuration standards, and engineering patternsEngineer and evolve TAS foundations and define platform integration patterns across the VMware stackEnable secure and scalable application runtimes and support application onboarding and modernizationCollaborate with platform automation, SRE, and operations teams to continuously improve platform reliability and lifecycle managementRequirements:4-5 years of experience engineering or operating Platform as a Service (PaaS) environmentsStrong hands-on experience with Linux, application runtimes, and platform architectureFamiliarity with VMware, virtualization concepts, and internal cloud platformsExperience supporting developer onboarding, CI/CD integration, and application runtime platformsDesired skills:Direct experience with VMware Tanzu Application Server (TAS) or Cloud Foundry5-7+ years of experience supporting enterprise PaaS or internal developer platformsPaaS, cloud platform, or DevOps certificationExperience modernizing applications to PaaS models in regulated enterprisesPay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
