Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification along with ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital with Chest Pain and Stroke Center designations

MRI department averages 40-45 patients per day

Serves adult and pediatric patients from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams

Equipment includes Siemens 1.5T magnets

EMR: EPIC

12-hour day shift schedule, 36 hours per week, working Saturday-Monday 7:00 AM-7:30 PM

No rotation between weekday and weekend shifts; travelers remain on the same shift and days per contract

No floating required

Call requirement shared fairly among full-time, part-time, PRN, and traveler staff

Requirements

ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification required

ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required

BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of core MRI experience required, with most recent experience within the last year

License required if applicable

Strong clinical skills with ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude

Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

Department supported by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager with a diverse team ranging from new grads to long-tenured staff

Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour with introductions, and 5 days of departmental orientation with flexibility based on traveler needs

Travelers expected to assist with holiday coverage unless time off is approved in advance

RTO subject to manager approval

Black scrubs required for technologists

Free team member parking available across several parking decks

First-time travelers will be considered

Facility requires 50-mile radius rule; local candidates within this radius are not accepted

Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
