Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities On-site role managing cross‑functional accounting and finance projects that improve processes, ensure compliance, and support organizational growth. Manage accounting-related projects from planning through implementation and completion. Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and status reports. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy through detailed analysis. Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close and routine financial reporting. Work with leadership to standardize financial policies, procedures, and controls. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Prepare executive presentations, dashboards, and project updates for leadership. Manage relationships with external consultants, auditors, and software vendors. Coordinate and lead efforts on external financial and bank audits, including preparation and review of required documentation. Assist with merger, acquisition, and business integration projects as assigned. Collaborate with the Director to support overall department goals and objectives. Requirements Includes technical skills, knowledge, and qualifications necessary for the role. Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles, laws, and practices. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and reporting principles. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation. Proficiency with financial systems and accounting software. Willingness and ability to work with several different departments/locations and manage multiple tasks daily. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills. CPA preferred. Job Skills Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation). Solid analytical and data validation skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow established processes and meet deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Basic financial modeling capability. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Experienced professional with 5 years’ progressive experience in Accounting or Audit, including financial close and audits. Travel Less than 10% travel required.
