About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its Foundation. The CFO will be a key leader in the Foundation's administrative, financial, and risk management operations, with a focus on shaping financial and operational strategy, safeguarding institutional assets, and ensuring reporting accuracy. This role is pivotal in the Foundation's mission to support the institution, engage in fundraising activities, and capitalize on special opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a mission-centered leader with a passion for the impact of higher education, comfortable with transparent and collaborative work, and will have a proven record in financial strategy and team leadership. Applicants for the CFO position at the company's Foundation should be prepared to take on a role that is both visible and impactful. The CFO will have concurrent responsibility for financial analysis and strategic initiatives in real estate, intellectual property, and venture capital. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of leading the Foundation in its financial endeavors, and will work closely with the Advancement Vice President and the Foundation Chief Executive Officer. The role requires a leader who is dedicated to the values of the institution, particularly in the context of a student-first, land-grant, and R1 research environment. The CFO will be expected to have a strong background in financial management, a collaborative leadership style, and a deep commitment to the mission of the Foundation and the institution it serves.
