About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in PACU or similar setting License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with telemetry and ventilated patients - Knowledge of various nursing skills such as conscious sedation, dysrhythmia management, and care of ventilated patients Description: This is a 3 shift per week position on nights. The schedule will include weekends and holiday coverage. There is no on-call required for this position. The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for patients in the PACU. Familiarity with trauma level I or similar experience is preferred. The patient ratio during nights will typically be 2 patients per nurse. Candidates should be comfortable working with diverse patient populations, including adults and geriatrics. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. Candidates will be involved in patient assessments and management. This position requires strong assessment skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. All candidates must be prepared for the compliance process and credentialing requirements upon acceptance. References are required from previous supervisory figures in the nursing field.
