Nurse Resident Elective Orthopedics & Spine Unit

The Elective Orthopedics & Spine Unit is a 26-bed inpatient unit focused on helping patients regain mobility, independence, and quality of life. Our team cares for patients recovering from total knee and hip replacements, spine surgeries, orthopedic injuries, and trauma-related conditions in a fast-paced and supportive environment. As a Nurse Resident, you'll have the opportunity to build a strong clinical foundation while caring for a diverse patient population. Located within a Level I Trauma Center, this unit offers exposure to both elective orthopedic procedures and more complex trauma cases, providing a unique learning experience for new graduate nurses. In this role, you will:

Assess and monitor patient conditions

Administer medications and treatments

Develop and implement individualized plans of care

Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team

Educate and support patients and their families

Document care accurately and thoroughly
