Position Summary

Kutamani Developmental Services is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our clinical team. The BCBA is responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of individualized behavior-analytic programming for children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities. This role requires a high degree of clinical expertise, independent professional judgment, and a genuine commitment to empowering children and their families.

The BCBA will serve as the primary clinical authority for their assigned caseload, partnering closely with families, supervising field staff, and coordinating with external providers to ensure each child receives cohesive, high-quality care.

Responsibilities Clinical

• Design and oversee individualized, evidence-based ABA treatment programs for an assigned caseload of clients with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities.

• Conduct comprehensive skill-based and behavioral assessments using validated, standardized tools to establish baselines and inform treatment planning.

• Perform functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) that identify the function of challenging behaviors and outline evidence-based intervention strategies.

• Develop individualized treatment plans with specific, measurable goals; review and update programming on a regular basis using data-based decision-making.

• Analyze client progress data on an ongoing basis to evaluate treatment effectiveness, identify trends, and make timely modifications to programming.

• Ensure all clinical programming and documentation adheres to the BACB Ethics Code, payer requirements, and applicable state regulations.

• Maintain timely and accurate clinical records, including session notes, treatment plan updates, assessment reports, and insurance authorization documentation.

Supervision & Staff Development

• Provide structured, competency-based supervision to Behavior Health Technicians (BHTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in accordance with BACB supervision standards.

• Conduct regular direct observation of BHT/RBT sessions to evaluate implementation fidelity and deliver constructive, skill-building feedback.

• Train and onboard newly assigned supervisees, ensuring readiness for independent and consistent program implementation prior to direct client contact.

• Maintain required supervision documentation, including supervisory contact logs and competency assessments, in compliance with BACB and Kutamani requirements.

• Model professional conduct and uphold high standards of clinical practice, serving as a resource and mentor for supervisees.

Family Partnership & Parent Training

• Conduct regular, structured parent and caregiver training sessions to build capacity for skill generalization and behavioral consistency across home and community settings.

• Communicate assessment findings, treatment goals, and clinical progress to families in a clear, accessible, and family-centered manner.

• Partner with families to ensure that treatment goals reflect their priorities and that caregivers are active, informed participants in the intervention process.

• Respond to family concerns with professionalism and empathy, providing guidance and clinical recommendations in a timely manner.

Care Coordination & Interdisciplinary Collaboration

• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, school personnel, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other professionals involved in the client’s support network.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute ABA-specific expertise to collaborative care planning.

• Communicate relevant clinical updates and recommendations to external providers to support integrated, continuity-focused care.

• Manage own caseload and scheduling in coordination with Kutamani’s operations team to ensure authorized services are delivered efficiently and without interruption.

Professional Development & Organizational Contribution

• Maintain BCBA certification in good standing, including completion of required continuing education.

• Stay current with emerging research, evidence-based practices, and developments in the field of applied behavior analysis.

• Contribute to Kutamani’s clinical quality initiatives, including participation in team meetings, peer consultation, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Maintain all required state licensure and organizational credentialing in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a closely related field.

• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the BACB.

• Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) or equivalent state licensure as required by applicable regulations.

• Completion of BACB-required supervision training.

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience providing ABA services to children with autism spectrum disorder or related developmental disabilities.

• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting behavioral assessments and developing individualized, function-based treatment plans.

• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to make evidence-based clinical decisions and communicate findings clearly to families and colleagues.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage effectively with families, supervisees, and external providers across a variety of settings and formats.

• Proficiency with ABA practice management and data collection platforms; experience with CentralReach preferred.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role: must be able to stand and move for at least 75% of the day, transition to and from the floor, and lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.

Schedule & Employment Type

• Full-time and part-time positions available.

• Primary service hours are Monday through Friday; occasional weekend availability may be required based on client need.

• Hours will vary based on client caseload and scheduling; flexibility is expected.
