Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care in a busy hospital emergency department
• Perform port access, IV start, venipuncture, nasal wash, and point of care testing
• Manage patient care with a patient ratio of 4:1, with surge capacity up to 5:1
• Utilize GE monitors and Meditech EMR system to monitor and document patient information
• Assist with procedures such as Foley placements and EKGs
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients, demonstrating caring and active engagement
• Adhere to unit policies, guidelines, and safety protocols
