Job Title

Travel RN – Med-Surg Float Pool

Location

Albany, NY | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a Med-Surg Float Pool setting at a large academic medical center
• Float to various medical-surgical units as needed based on staffing and patient census
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation, order management, and patient charting
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements, including navy blue scrubs
• Complete a competency assessment as required prior to or at the start of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital (competency testing required); 2 years of experience exempts testing requirement
• Must be prepared to complete a competency test within 24 hours of submission
• Candidates from certain ineligible local counties are not being accepted for this position — eligibility will be confirmed during the submission process

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Med-Surg RN experience in a high-acuity or academic hospital environment
• Prior float pool experience across multiple medical-surgical units
• Strong adaptability and ability to quickly acclimate to new unit environments and teams
