Junior High Volleyball Coach

The Park Rapids Area Schools Athletic department is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Junior High Volleyball Coach at Park Rapids High School for the upcoming season. This seasonal position is ideal for someone who has a strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals and a desire to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth among young athletes. The coach will be responsible for developing players' skills, promoting a positive team environment, and ensuring a fun and educational experience for all participants. Responsibilities Plan and conduct daily practice sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies. Develop and implement a season-long training program that aligns with the goals of the junior high volleyball program. Organize and manage team activities, including games, tournaments, and team-building events. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff regarding schedules, expectations, and player progress. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages participation and personal growth. Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during practices and competitions. Assist in the evaluation of player performance and provide constructive feedback to help athletes improve. Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to promote the volleyball program and enhance the overall athletic experience. Requirements Previous coaching experience or playing experience in volleyball, particularly at the junior high or high school level. Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with athletes, parents, and staff. Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes while maintaining a positive and supportive environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. First Aid and CPR certification is preferred but not required. Availability to commit to the entire season, including practices, games, and team events.
