This position would serve Building 50 and Building 51 and any other building that is under the responsibility of supervisory code SP-05 or Planning group PL-50. Our Engineers support internal and external manufacturing operations remain operational, continuously improve and innovate. With our extensive range of facilities and environments, our Engineers have opportunities across many areas including Biological, Chemical, Automation, Capital Projects, Maintenance, Safety, Process Development, Technical Services, Utilities and Validation. We are seeking a growth and improvement minded Engineering Maintenance & Utilities Specialist that can help drive our Strategic Operating Priorities. NOTE:-This is for a future Third shift Position. 3rd Shift (12:00 am to 8:00 am) This position will initially start on first shift and establish the processes and systems needed to support 2nd and 3rd shift for a new building. The scheduled workdays for the position will start Monday through Friday, but will need to support future building operations in the future on Saturday and Sunday (Depending on additional support and needs for the building). Additional Responsibilities Provide technical manufacturing support in the field of engineering, maintenance and utilities (EMU) Day-to-day engineering support for assigned area which may include vaccine bulk manufacturing, filling, lyophilization, packaging, and/or mechanical support utilities including power, HVAC, steam, WFI and controlled temperature units Support and monitoring of equipment performance and maintenance, propose and develop equipment and facility improvements and troubleshoot process equipment to ensure reliable, compliant and efficient operations Actively ensures GMP quality, safety, environmental, and operating cost goals are achieved On occasion, may provide supervisory coverage Works with Operations, other EM&U engineers, Technology, Maintenance Supervisors and mechanics to maximize capacity and assure efficient, reliable equipment operation in accordance with all GMP, safety-and environmental-regulations Champions the preventive and predictive maintenance program reviews equipment history for reliability concerns, performs root cause analysis, and identifies reliability improvement opportunities and applications for predictive maintenance technologies to reduce maintenance costs Develops maintenance and repair strategy for shutdowns Assists/leads-Operations,-maintenance-supervisors,-mechanics,-automation-engineers,-process-engineers-and Quality representatives in troubleshooting equipment problems as well as investigating manufacturing atypical events related to system failure or-malfunction Serves-as-the-project-engineer-and-manager-for-projects-including-scope-development,-design,-walkdown, CMMS system uploads (such as SAP PM, ProCal or EAM), field execution and commissioning/qualification-testing Identifies spare parts and stand-by equipment needed to assure maximum capacity and-reliability Supports maintenance scheduling and planning processes Helps to ensure safety culture and participates in HAZOP reviews and Safety inspections Promotes open communications, inclusion and-team-work Authors-Standard-Operating-Procedures-or-User-Manuals-and-assists-in-training-development-for-mechanics-and supervisors Work with contractors and outside resources and ensures all safety and quality standards are met by contractors Assists in the preparation of process studies, engineering standards, equipment utilization, and profit-plan Explains and enforces all GMPs, safety, and environmental-regulations Assist in audits, regulatory inspections and training Creates, optimizes, and manages the creation of Job Plans and knowledge management documents Education Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Science or-Engineering Technology Required Experience and Skills Work independently and as a Team member with Integrity - Precision - Accomplishment - Motivational Ambition - Respect Three years in manufacturing or technical support group or-equivalent Can read and interpret P&ID's and isometric drawings Proficient in empowering leadership, flexibility, motivation, teamwork/partnership problem-solving, communication, and computer-skills Knowledge in the application of engineering standards (i.e.-ASME, IEEE, NFPA, CFR 1910, NIST, and/or-ANSI) Preferred Experience and Skills Knowledge of cGMP for pharmaceutical and/or vaccine manufacturing Lean Six Sigma Methodology Root Cause Analysis - Failure Mode effects analysis Knowledge in reliability engineering (including-asset-life-cycle management) Computerized Management Maintenance Systems (i.e. Maximo, SAP, Hexigon, EAM, ProCal) Required Skills: Adaptability, Adaptability, Civil Engineering Project Management, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Computer Maintenance, Critical Thinking, Data Analysis, Driving Continuous Improvement, Electrical Systems, Engineering Design, Engineering Standards, Engineering Support, Equipment Maintenance, Equipment Monitoring, FMECA, IBM Maximo, Maintenance Audits, Maintenance Engineering, Maintenance Management, Maintenance Management Systems, Maintenance Scheduling, Manufacturing Processes, Mechanical Troubleshooting, Operation Maintenance, Project Engineering {+ 8 more} US and Puerto Rico Residents Only: Our company is committed to inclusion, ensuring that candidates can engage in a hiring process that exhibits their true capabilities.
