Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab (Cardiovascular Lab) position in Wichita, KS, requiring at least 1 year of acute care Cath Lab experience and an active KS or compact RN license.

Details

• Located in the Cardiovascular Lab (Unit 744) on the 3rd floor of a hospital in Wichita, KS
• 4-bed unit staffed by 3 techs and 9 RNs per day shift, including 2 travelers
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Shift hours are 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM; no night shift
• Uses Philips Fluoroscopy equipment
• EMR systems include Mac Lab and Meditech; experience with either is preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital Cath Lab RN experience
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Typical procedures include cardiac drips, angioplasty, and stenting
• Mac Lab and/or Meditech experience is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• First-time travelers are not explicitly mentioned as eligible; prior Cath Lab travel or acute care experience is emphasized
