About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night rotation Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty required. - Recent Step Down experience preferred, travel experience will suffice. License: - Must have a permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of submission. Certifications: - Current American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - ECG rhythm recognition test and safe medication assessments required during orientation. - Traveler must work at least every other holiday. Description: This position is for a step down nursing role requiring experience in caring for patients in a high volume, progressive care environment. Registered nurses may float to various units as needed to care for similar patient populations. The position requires working rotating shifts, including nights and weekends as necessary to meet operational needs. Candidates must have 18 months of documented experience in the specialty with references from past managers or supervisors in the field. The facility will not accept candidates with any open background checks or license issues. A nicotine-free requirement applies, except for exempt positions. Candidates should be prepared for an assessment during orientation to measure competence in ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.
