Job Details: Job Location: TUCSON, AZ 85712, Salary Range: $45.00 - $55.00 Hourly, Job Shift: Day. The Center at Tucson is looking to hire a Speech Therapist now! Shift Availability: Full time or PRN days. Pay: Full time $45-55/hour, PRN $55/hour, dependent on experience. Job Duties and Responsibilities Effectively screen/evaluate patients with possible communication, cognitive or swallowing disorders and develop appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with communication, cognitive and/or swallowing disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Provide comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Work closely with patients, family members and other care team members to adequately plan for patient needs, including short‑term and long‑term goals. Qualifications Possess a current and valid fingerprint clearance card (FPCC). Possess a current and valid Speech Therapist license. Possess a current and valid CPR certification. Pass a pre‑employment background check and drug test. 1 year’s experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred. Other Job Requirements Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Possess the ability to tactfully work with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition. Be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements, and have the ability to maintain highly confidential information.
