Prime Sales Representative- Heavy Equipment

This role will report out of South Elgin, IL location. Expected compensation: draw of $80,000/year plus aggressive commission plan on high-margin equipment. Responsibilities Responsible for the Construction Sales for our Volvo Construction Equipment, Sennebogen Material Handling, Dynapac Paving Products, and Tadano Cranes product lines and other large brand construction lines Account/territory management, financial merchandising and prospect for new business Meet quota objectives provided by management Use effective time and territory management skills Personal visits to customers’ applications to identify opportunities Effective use of direct mail, phone and electronic media to communicate with prospects and customers Develop and present proposals to solve customers’ needs while working with our inside sales team Effectively present at customers’ location in front of a group and show the benefits of products and services Participate in the use and expansion of the company’s CRM program Execute planned sales calls Participate in sales training and use tools provided to educate on your own various products and services offered by the company Review open proposals with sales management and request management participation in customer sales calls when necessary Turn in complete orders to sales administration and review orders for accuracy Demonstrate products at the customer’s location Coordinate with all departments sales strategies that exceed customers’ expectations Offer customized financing packages to meet each customer’s unique requirements Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities Perform other duties as assigned Maintain consistent, regular, and reliable attendance Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Outstanding selling and closing skills 2 years of heavy construction equipment sales experience (highly preferred) 5 years of business-to-business sales experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Fast-paced, high-energy individual with an aggressive sales style Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and automobile insurance Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Language Skills – Intermediate read/write and presentation ability Mathematical Skills – Intermediate (basic algebra, geometry, percentages) Reasoning Ability – High (solve practical problems) Physical Demands / Work Environment Regular use of hands, talk/hear; frequently sit; occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste/smell No special vision requirements Frequently lift up to 25 lbs; occasionally 26-50 lbs Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions About Alta Culture is job #1.
