Air Export SpecialistLocation: Proximity to Syosset, NYCompany/Industry: Well-established freight forwarderSchedule: Mon-Fri 1st shiftSalary: $65,000 - $70,000/yr depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidateType: Direct hire + benefitsDuties include but are not limited to:Close Air waybills timely to meet gateway and airline cutoffs.Print all Necessary Export Documents.Provide Warehouse with loading docs.Perform Export Clearance.Send Pre-advises to destination offices / agents.Communicates with customer service group for any requirements or exceptions found in freight documents or physical cargo receipt, report any discrepancies to avoid mishandling of goods.As a contingency to Customer Service, will contact customers with exceptions to advise shipment status or to obtain shipment information in a professional manner.Assists the day-to-day operations of the export department to ensure that customer requirements are met.Other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications3-5 years of related air export/international experience.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $65,000.00 - $70,000.00All compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
