Labor One is currently hiring Ship Fitters in San Diego, CA at a Shipyard.
$160 perdiem, if eligible. Job Requirements: 4-5 years of shipyard experience. Ship fitter knowledge: Welding, tacking, burning, and scarfing. Must pass the following Ship fitter Welding Assessment: FCAW Fillet weld plates: · 2F 3F 4F (VT test)*Fillet testing shall take 1-2 hours T Bar 12X4” 3/8” thick: · 2F 3F 4F (VT and Fracture test )*This takes average ship fitter of 1-2 days Must comprehend written and verbal instructions (in English). Must be able to hear warning signals, read and comprehend safety instructions, regulations and warnings. Must pass a background check, vision test and drug test.
