The key role of position is to ensure all material is supplied and taken to and from production areas. This position will have primary responsibility for executing the coordination of production materials, safety compliance, data collection, quality samples, maintaining 5S Visual Workplace, inventory (raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods), cycle counts and overall production support. The Operations Associate works within a structure that requires considerable interaction with others in the same production unit as well as other production units and support functions.Responsibilities include:Understands and is accountable for full compliance of all Quality, EOHS and FP&R guidelines; as well as external regulatory requirementsUnloads and inspects, samples and test inbound trailers according to SOPsTransfers materials and supplies to storage, processing and finishing areas as needed using required equipmentConfirms in-house availability of raw and packing materials for current and next runs understanding schedule and demand plansCoordinates with upstream and downstream processes by working with others in planning, warehouse, receiving and vendor representatives to ensure availability of materialsPrepares and loads finished product for shipping using SAP and working with internal stakeholders and external suppliersCompletes all appropriate SAP, Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Forklift Terminals/RF transactions for receiving, transferring and shipping of materials and finished productPerforms cycle counts and inventoriesCompletes daily check sheet for forklift safety and maintenanceChanges out forklift batteries daily for recharging using overhead cranePerforms safety check of pallet stacking at end of shift and reports and resolves any issuesAssists with startup, line clearance, and operations of automated and manual equipment throughout the production facilityCompletes daily housekeeping activities and perform assessments as required to meet all GMP's and FDA requirementsRemoves and disposes of production line waste according to Standard Operating ProceduresAssists with loading scrap trailers for disposal or recycleQualifications Required:Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing / warehousing environmentProficient with computers, software, and data processingAbility to work any shift, weekends and mandatory overtime as neededAbility to lift 50 pounds repeatedly for extended periods of timeAbility to climb stairs and ladders, bend to 90 degrees repeatedlyCompensation and Benefits Salary Range $20.68 - $23.00 USD Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
