Location: West Chicago, IL

Work Setting: Hybrid with occasional on-call responsibilities and participation in disaster recovery events (must be in office 3 days a week on average)

Compensation: $110,000–$125,000

Position Summary

The Security Administrator is a critical role within the Information Technology team, focused on strengthening and maintaining the organization’s cybersecurity posture across both corporate and manufacturing environments. This position supports a growing need for enhanced security, driven by increased audit requirements, evolving threats, and expanding compliance standards.

This individual will be responsible for maintaining existing security tools, supporting incident response, and improving disaster recovery processes. Over time, the role will expand into evaluating new technologies and supporting emerging initiatives, including advanced cybersecurity capabilities and AI-related efforts.

What You’ll Do

• Support and execute the organization’s cybersecurity roadmap and strategic initiatives
• Maintain and optimize enterprise security tools, including Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Microsoft security stack, ManageEngine, and Barracuda
• Monitor, respond to, and investigate cybersecurity incidents in real time
• Perform forensic analysis and support incident response efforts across systems
• Maintain and update disaster recovery procedures, documentation, and readiness plans
• Participate in disaster recovery events (approximately 2 weeks in duration, 4–5 times per year)
• Provide on-call support for incident response and recovery scenarios
• Support vulnerability management, patching processes, and access control systems
• Conduct risk assessments and support compliance initiatives and audit preparation
• Assist in developing and delivering security awareness and end-user training programs
• Evaluate new cybersecurity technologies and recommend improvements
• Support security efforts across manufacturing and plant floor systems

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT security roles
• Hands-on experience with enterprise security tools (e.g., Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Microsoft security tools)
• Experience with security monitoring and incident response
• Understanding of disaster recovery planning and execution
• Knowledge of network, endpoint, and cloud security concepts
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Exposure to compliance frameworks, audits, and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools and processes
• Experience supporting plant floor or operational technology (OT) systems
• Interest in or exposure to emerging technologies, including AI and advanced security tools
