Clinical Shift Schedule: Inpatient 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (may extend based on demand) outpatient schedule to be provided

On-Call Shift Schedule: Inpatient call varies by location - may be nightly or every other night

Call Type: Onsite

Call Ratio: Varies

Coverage Dates: October 12–18, 2026, December 28–31, 2026, January 1–7, 2027, January 12–21, 2027, additional ongoing coverage may be available

Patient Demographics: Adults

Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 8–12 consults and 2–8 procedures per day

Rounding: Included

Case Mix: Inpatient Gastroenterology consultations, follow-ups, and GI procedures

Office Equipment Available: Fully staffed surgical suites

Specialty Backup Available: Anesthesiology support for all procedures

Support Staff Available: APP support at CCH, GCMC, and HPMC

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Compensation & Benefits: Rate TBD, travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Required Procedures: Colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, other GI endoscopic procedures, EUS – preferred, not required, ERCP – preferred, not required

Job Requirements: Active FL medical license, board certified, gastroenterology experience required, must be willing to cover both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology needs

Duties & Responsibilities: Round on inpatient gastroenterology consultations and follow-up patients, perform GI endoscopic procedures as clinically indicated, provide inpatient call coverage based on assigned location, provide both inpatient and outpatient coverage as scheduling needs require, collaborate with APPs, anesthesiologists, surgical staff, and the multidisciplinary care team
