Billing Specialist

Position Overview Billing Specialist Commercial Division. This role supports the growing Commercial Division by managing billing processes tied to purchase orders for large‑scale construction projects. Key Responsibilities Project Billing & PO Management: generate accurate invoices based on contract terms, purchase orders, and project milestones; track, reconcile, and manage billing against multiple active POs; ensure compliance with client‑specific billing requirements; coordinate with project managers to validate billing accuracy; maintain organized billing records. Accounts Receivable Support: monitor outstanding invoices and assist with collections; resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries. Process Improvement & Technology: use ERP/accounting systems and AI tools to improve billing workflows; identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements; help standardize billing procedures across projects; support audits and reporting. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: partner with project management, operations, and accounting teams; ensure alignment between contracts, change orders, and invoicing. Qualifications 25+ years of billing or AR experience (construction preferred). Strong experience with PO‑based billing. Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.). Tech‑savvy with ability to leverage AI tools. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to manage multiple deadlines. Strong communication skills.
