Now Hiring: Safety Manager Cleveland Operations | Commercial Construction Are you a strong construction safety leader who knows how to balance accountability, field presence, and relationship-building? Extera Building Solutions is looking for a hands‑on Safety Manager to support our Cleveland‑area operations across roofing, masonry restoration, glazing, sheet metal, and service divisions. This is a highly visible leadership role where you’ll partner directly with field teams, operations leadership, HR, and executive management to help drive a strong, proactive safety culture across multiple construction companies. What You’ll Be Doing Lead and manage company‑wide safety programs and initiatives Conduct jobsite inspections, audits, and safety training Partner with operations teams on pre‑job planning and hazard analysis Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions Support OSHA compliance, workers’ compensation, and regulatory requirements Coordinate certifications, onboarding, and ongoing safety education Build relationships with field leadership and help create a “safety‑first” culture Assist with safety integration efforts for acquisitions and new operations What We’re Looking For 5+ years of construction safety experience Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards Experience in commercial roofing, masonry, glazing, sheet metal, or specialty trades preferred Ability to confidently work with field employees, superintendents, project managers, and executives Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Someone who leads from the front and enjoys being active in the field Preferred Certifications OSHA 500 or OSHA 30 CHST, CSP, or STSC certifications CPR / First Aid / AED Instructor Competent Person Certifications (Fall Protection, Scaffold, Excavation, etc.) Forklift & Aerial Lift Trainer certifications Position Details Based in Cleveland, Ohio Travel to jobsites within approximately a 2‑hour radius Full‑time leadership opportunity Field‑focused role in active commercial construction environments Why Join Extera Building Solutions?
