Key Responsibilities

• Assist the licensed Physical Therapist in conducting thorough patient evaluations and assessments, ensuring that evaluations are done respectfully and carefully.
• Follow treatment plans as designed by the Physical Therapist, modifying exercises and techniques based on evolving patient needs and progress.
• Instruct and empower patients in performing therapeutic exercises and self-care techniques while providing consistent supervision and encouragement.
• Implement various modalities, including heat, cold, and electrical stimulation, prioritizing patient safety and comfort during sessions to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-management strategies, ensuring understanding and adherence to prescribed routines.
• Closely monitor and document patient progress and treatment outcomes, utilizing electronic health record systems to maintain accurate records while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care delivery and seamless patient experiences, contributing insights from daily patient interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our PTA will primarily serve an array of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, neurological conditions, and general rehabilitation needs. We strive to provide personalized care tailored to each individual's condition, age, and lifestyle, enhancing their recovery and functional abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of California.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a relevant rehabilitative setting, showcasing skills in assessment and patient care.
• A deep understanding of physical therapy principles, modalities, and practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a genuine desire to support and care for patients in their healing process.
• Proficiency in both independent and collaborative work environments, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and shared patient care goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation center, with exposure to a diverse patient demographic.

• Prior involvement in patient education and advocacy.

Compensation and Benefits
