Responsibilities Performs all assigned machine shop operations Detected and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee Follows tag system, quality procedures, and completes all relevant in-process inspection forms. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures. Performs inspection of machined products and documents results Completes and maintains paperwork for parts Understands all blueprint/operation drawing features before cutting chips Understands job quotas established in router or as instructed. Ensure all gages used are calibrated and in good working order Use of overhead crane for loading and unloading parts into machine Perform general maintenance on machine such as changing coolant, oils, and other lubricants Carry out all other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or 5-7 years CNC Machine Operator experience. You’ve run CNC machines and know how to keep them dialed in tight. Reading blueprints and measuring to spec? That’s second nature. You work clean, safe, and steady — every shift, every part. Lifting parts, moving material, and staying on your feet? All in a day’s work. Mechanical aptitude Willing to learn to become proficient in operating applicable equipment Good attitude Quality-oriented Your Day, Start to Finish From setup to final inspection, you’ll take charge of your CNC station. You’ll follow prints, check your work, and make sure every piece meets spec. Whether it’s making offsets, changing tools, or keeping up with production flow, you’ll be the reason the job gets done right. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 50 lbs or heavier.
