Accounts Payable Manager

Community Name:UCH Central OfficeEssential Functions Statement(s)Manage, mentor and develop a team of four accounts payable staffOversee daily AP Operations including invoice processing, approvals & Supplier PaymentsBuild and improve account payable processes, procedures, and internal controlsAssist with Workday system enhancements and process improvementsEnsure timely and accurate processing of high-volume invoicesMonitor workflow efficiency and implement process improvements and automation initiativesReview supplier reconciliations and resolve, escalate discrepancies or payment issuesPartner with accounting leadership on month end close, accruals and audit supportMaintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, & payment termsDevelop reporting metrics related to AP performance, aging and cash flowSKILLS & ABILITIESEducation:Bachelor’s degree in accounting (four year college or technical school): PreferredExperience:Three (3) to five (5) years of accounts payable experienceExperience with Workday for AP Processing.Prior leadership or supervisory experience managing Accounts Payable staff, including responsibility for performance management, workflow oversight, staff development, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions.Strong understanding of AP ProcessesExperience building or improving accounting processes and proceduresComputer Skills:Must have strong Excel skills and a working knowledge of general software packages; Must be able to proficiently operate a computer, the Internet and basic office equipmentWe're an equal opportunity employer.
