ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

Monday - Friday 

8:00 am - 5:00 pm 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist the Project Manager with coordinating projects from initial customer requirements through production and completion, coordinating production activities to ensure products are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to customer specifications.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, suppliers, production teams, and internal departments to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and fulfilled.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, materials, and production requirements to help ensure projects remain on track.
• Assist with resolving customer questions, production issues, material concerns, and other project-related challenges in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate with suppliers to help ensure materials, components, and resources are available when needed.
• Review customer requirements, drawings, specifications, and production information to help ensure accuracy throughout the project.
• Maintain clear and timely communication between customers, suppliers, production personnel, and management.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve production efficiency, product quality, customer satisfaction, and overall project profitability.
• Support efforts to accommodate customer needs while maintaining company quality standards, production requirements, schedules, and profitability.
• Help maintain strong customer relationships by providing responsive communication and ensuring commitments are properly followed through.
• Assist with identifying potential issues that could affect project schedules, quality, costs, or customer satisfaction and communicate them to the Project Manager.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, records, schedules, and other information as required.
• Ensure finished products meet customer expectations and established quality standards.
• Perform other project coordination and administrative duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the steel industry
• Experience in Water/Wastewater treatment plants is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills: verbal and written.
• Proficient in technology such as: Computer skills, Word, Excel. Experience in   
• AutoCAD and FabTrol is a plus.
• Must be able to interpret construction documents (contract drawings and specifications) and understand our scope of work in the steel industry.
