BEPC is actively looking for Logistics Specialist in Saraland, AL area!

W2 Contract – 6 months with possible extensions!

Pay Rate: $35.00 - $38.00 /hour - Determined based on experience (Paid weekly)

Work Model: Hybrid role - (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) - Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Logistics Specialist to join our client’s site in Saraland, AL. This role will support international shipments, transportation coordination, export documentation, and regulatory compliance.

The Logistics Specialist will support global logistics operations by coordinating shipments across multiple transportation modes, preparing required international shipping and export documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable hazardous materials and import/export regulations.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze and develop logistics plans affecting production, distribution, and inventory.
• Create and review distribution and inventory management procedures.
• Support efforts to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing costs.
• Coordinate international shipments and support global logistics operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for international transportation.
• Coordinate transportation using various modes, including: Ocean (LCL and FCL), air, road, rail, special equipment shipments.
• Prepare and manage international shipping documentation, including: Commercial/customs invoices, packing lists, Certificates of Origin, Free Trade Agreement documentation, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Analysis.
• Prepare export documentation, including: Export Declarations, Shipper's Letters of Instruction (SLI), other required export paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with hazardous materials shipping requirements, including IATA, IMDG, and DOT regulations.
• Support compliance with U.S. export regulations and country-specific import/export requirements.
• Prioritize urgent shipments and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Make decisions and respond appropriately in uncertain or time-sensitive situations.

Main Qualifications: 

• Education: Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of transportation modes, including ocean, air, road, rail, and special equipment shipments.
• Knowledge of international shipping and export documentation.
• Understanding of hazardous materials shipping compliance, including: IATA, IMDG, DOT.
• Understanding of U.S. export regulations and country-specific import/export requirements.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work with urgency.
• Strong accountability and responsiveness.
• Decision-making skills in uncertain situations.
• Comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
• Ability to work under supervision using established guidelines and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Foundational experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain.
• Understanding of international transportation and export documentation.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
