DescriptionSummary: Huntington’s Commercial Portfolio Manager -Power & Utilities will co-manage a growing $4.5 billion book of business in the bank’s Power & Utilities vertical within Huntington’s Corporate Specialty and Government Banking group. In conjunction with Relationship Management and other internal partners, the Director, Portfolio Management services and deepens an assigned portfolio of clients by proactively identifying and evaluating opportunities as well as identifying and mitigating associated business risks, in accordance with Huntington policies, procedures, and guiding principles.Please note preferred locations: Atlanta, GA; Columbus / Cincinnati / Cleveland, OH; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Dallas / Houston, TX Duties and Responsibilities:Underwrite and close broadly syndicated, complex commercial loansProvide credit recommendations to the appropriate level of credit administrationReview loan documentation in consultation with legal counselManage risk on an ongoing basis by monitoring customer credit worthiness, adherence to loan terms and general business conditionsManage annual reviews and renewals, portfolio reviews, collateral exceptions, borrowing bases, delinquencies and other reportingAs appropriate, assist in optimizing customer relationships working with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management, Capital Markets and other team membersBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree requiredCompletion of formalized credit training program7+ years of related portfolio management experiencePreferred Qualifications:10 years of diversified banking experience including portfolio management experience and positions of increasing responsibility, with at least 3 years of expertise in the Power & Utilities spaceIndustry knowledge and established networks within the Regulated Utility sector highly preferredDemonstrated success structuring complex credits; researching, judging and presenting information verbally and in writing; creating documentation to support the credit and minimize riskProven ability to manage workflow and deadlines, while effectively balancing competing prioritiesDemonstrated leadership experience by providing coaching, skill development and feedback to team membersProficiency using software applications that are supportive of the loan underwriting processStrong negotiation, written and verbal communication skillsHigh degree of professionalism#LI -MK1Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)YesWorkplace Type:OfficeOur Approach to Office Workplace TypeCertain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Specific work arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.Compensation Range:$93,000.00 - $189,000.00 Annual SalaryThe compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position.
