Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at MVHS-Wynn in Utica, New York. This role offers an opportunity to work within a specialized 2-bed unit, focusing on adult patients undergoing complex cardiovascular surgical procedures.

The successful candidate will provide critical intraoperative nursing care, maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio. You will be instrumental in supporting surgical interventions for common diagnoses such as Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), Aortic Stenosis (AS), and Mitral Regurgitation (MR), utilizing advanced technology including EPIC EMR and Omnicell systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to adult patients in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during cardiovascular procedures.
• Manage patient care with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring high-quality, individualized attention.
• Assist with surgical interventions for conditions including Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), Aortic Stenosis (AS), and Mitral Regurgitation (MR).
• Accurately document patient information and care plans using the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Manage medication administration and inventory through the Omnicell system.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to float to other units as needed based on hospital census requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree.

Licensing Requirements

• Current New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
