Bring your expertise and passion for education to a dynamic K-8 environment as either a Special Education or ESL Teacher. This full-time contract position for the 2026-2027 school year offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives near Chicago, IL. You’ll be responsible for serving a caseload of approximately 30 students, implementing innovative curriculum, and supporting both academic and social-emotional growth.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with colleagues to ensure all students, particularly those with learning differences or who are English language learners, receive outstanding instruction and support. Fluency in Spanish is a must, as you will be engaging with a diverse community and deepening students’ literacy skills across multiple concepts.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 1-5 years of teaching experience, ideally in Special Education or ESL
• Valid LBS1 Teacher Certification and PEL certification required
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Strong belief in the potential of all students, regardless of background
• High expectations for student achievement and teamwork
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a school setting
• Creative, proactive, and collaborative mindset
• Fluent in Spanish (required)
• Mastery of academic content and evidence-based behavioral interventions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction for K-8 students in accordance with IEPs or language learning goals
• Plan and implement engaging curriculum that fosters literacy and overall academic growth
• Maintain strong communication with students, families, and staff
• Track progress and adjust strategies for student success
• Support positive behavior and an inclusive classroom environment
