WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Shift Leader, you will help lead the team and keep the restaurant running smoothly throughout every shift.

• Shift Leadership & Operations: Key holder responsible for opening/closing procedures, running smooth shifts, and leading a crew of 3 to 8 team members during busy rushes.
• Food Quality & Prep: Certified across all restaurant stations-bake fresh bread, complete morning/daily prep, and slice meats and cheeses with precision.
• Standards & Accountability: Follow and uphold company policies, procedures, Core Values, and operating standards while holding yourself and the team accountable to the standard.
• Quality & Safety: Ensure every sub is made correctly ("The Mike's Way") and maintain strict food safety, sanitation, store cleanliness, and guest service standards.
• Business Goals: Handle cash accurately, support labor control, inventory management, and shift performance goals.
• Coaching & Culture: Coach and mentor team members, handle guest concerns professionally, lead by example, and actively protect and promote our positive culture.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older (required to operate the mechanical slicer and fill store leadership roles per federal law and store operations).
• Availability & Hours: Full open availability required-must be available for all shifts, including mornings, daytimes, evenings, closings, and weekends (typically 30+ hours/week).
• Experience & Certifications: 1+ years of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or supervisory experience preferred. ServSafe Food Handler certification is a plus!
• Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Skills & Physical Requirements: Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills with a sense of urgency. Ability to stand for full shifts and move/transport up to 50 lbs.
• Attitude: Reliable, dependable, coachable, positive, and willing to work right alongside the team in a clean, professional uniform while taking pride in doing things the right way!
