Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

• Own key areas of revenue accounting, including contract review and compliance with IFRS 15
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Support rebate reserves, accruals, and revenue-related estimates
• Partner with commercial teams to provide insight into future revenue expectations
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close and reporting processes
• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and audit support materials
• Analyze complex accounting issues (e.g., impairment, inventory reserves) and recommend proper treatment
• Lead and contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects

Ideal Background for the Senior Accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA a plus
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition (IFRS 15; ASC 606 exposure also relevant)
• Experience working with SAP (preferred) or Oracle ERP systems
• Background in med tech, pharma, or a regulated industry is a plus
• Proven ability to handle complex accounting areas (accruals, reserves, contract accounting)
• Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrated experience driving or contributing to process improvements
