Material Manager

Position Summary Join our team as a Food Service Worker. The successful candidate ensures that patients receive appropriate nourishment, trays, and food selections under the direction of the Supervisor of Patient Services. Job Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Update and correct patient menus on a timely basis. Review patient menus to ensure adherence to prescribed diets and nutritional care plans. Modify menus in accordance with changes in diet orders. Ensure that patient menus contain all necessary information: name, room number, and diet orders. Ensure that patient’s food allergies and intolerance are taken care of and noted. Visit assigned patients daily and assist with menus. Assure daily delivery of patient nourishment. Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner. Deliver appropriate patient supplements/snacks to patients' rooms as scheduled. Check the temperature of tray line refrigerators daily and inform supervisor of any problems. Ensure refrigerator is clean and contents are properly dated and marked for freshness, or discarded. Notify supervisor of any refrigeration unit problems. Attend training classes as directed. Participate actively in all training programs including in‑services and meetings. Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of materials and instruction given. Identify and actively pursue a planned program for educational growth through OD&L classes, reading journals, etc. Consult with Clinical Dietitian and Supervisor regarding each patient's dietary needs and changes in patient status. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to understand and carry out simple oral and written instructions. Minimum six (6) months on a tray assembly line or related experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications A.A. degree in Nutrition or related major. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. The salary range for the role is $21.58 - $23.78 hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses or incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
