DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES Workwithstudent athletes,coachesandmedicalprofessionals intheanalysis,diagnosis, referral,treatment,rehabilitation, andthereturntosportforstudent athletes Participateinpreseasonteammeetingsforall sports Assistinmaintaining medical records of all student athletes, including but not limited to injuries, treatments, referrals, physical examinations, rehab attendance and progress Bepresentandobservepracticesandcompetitions(Some travelis required) Communicatepositivelyandeffectivelywithall stakeholders NotifyHeadAthleticTrainer when student-athletes donotadhere toprescribed rehab directives in a timely manner and/or when they are being released toreturn to sport Superviseand maintainasanitarytrainingroomareawith properworking equipment WorkwithHeadATtoreferandarrange transportationto external medicalproviders withthe assistance of coaches Manageadministrative tasksastheyrelate to scheduling physicals andappointments, butnot limitedtomaintaininginventory,equipmentrepairandreplenishingsupplies Communicateregularly withthe Equipment/FacilitiesMgr. Other duties asassigned by the Athletics Director MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Certified in First-Aid, CPR and AED KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS,& ABILITLIES Understanding ofthe challenges that student-athletesface such as proper nutrition, rest and exercise and corrective options Mustbeaskilledrecords keeper/Organized Dressappropriatelyfortheposition anddemonstrateprofessionalbehavioratall times Remaincurrentwithtrendsinthe profession WORKINGCONDITIONS/PHYSICIAL DEMANDS While performing the dutiesof this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to handle, orfeeltotalkandtohear.Theemployee,frequently,isrequiredtowalk,reachwithhandsandarmstostoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
