Phlebotomist

Join our team as a Phlebotomist and play a vital role in patient care by collecting blood specimens that support accurate diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing patient monitoring. The ideal candidate is skilled in venipuncture, committed to patient safety, and capable of providing compassionate care while maintaining specimen integrity and laboratory quality standards.

 

Position Details

• Position: Phlebotomist
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM and 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Location: Healthcare Facility Setting
• Start Date: ASAP

 

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on patients of all ages.
• Verify patient identity and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
• Process, prepare, and transport specimens according to laboratory protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of laboratory specimens.
• Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to support quality patient care.

 

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification required.
• EPIC experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
